| This thread is largely for Flipstarr's interest since I know he's been to the Davis-Monthan Air Force Boneyard in Tucson, lucky fish! The other week, when we were flying out of Alice Springs, I realised there's a new, and still small. boneyard here in Oz. Alice Springs is very dry and it's very suitable. One of my former bosses claimed he knew where a bunch of Spitfires were buried in the NT after WW2, but he didn't have the backing to have an expedition. | |
