This thread is largely for Flipstarr's interest since I know he's been to the Davis-Monthan Air Force Boneyard in Tucson, lucky fish!

The other week, when we were flying out of Alice Springs, I realised there's a new, and still small. boneyard here in Oz. Alice Springs is very dry and it's very suitable. Here's the url: http://www.apas.com.au

Enjoy clicking around the site.

They look pretty complete. Almost ready to take for a spin.

One of my former bosses claimed he knew where a bunch of Spitfires were buried in the NT after WW2, but he didn't have the backing to have an expedition.

Lucky fish!

More here - http://www.airplaneboneyards.com/davis-monthan-afb-amarg-airplane-boneyard.htm

I think I could spend several months wandering around that place.
